Office Administrator

Seeking congenial and very detail-oriented Office Administrator.

Esperanza is seeking a warm and welcoming person to be part of administrative staff.
Esperanza is an alternative to incarceration program that seeks to reduce the number of
youth incarcerated due to delinquency or adult court criminal cases. Esperanza staff work
with youth and their families in their own homes and communities, providing direct
counseling services, helping to set short- and long-term goals, and facilitating
connections to schools and other community-based organizations to assist youth and
caregivers in establishing longer-term supportive networks.
The ideal candidate will be a friendly, professional and flexible person who is extremely
organized and detail-oriented. This person will provide administrative support for the
office as part of a small but energetic team. Duties include check production and
processing, vendor relationships, inventory and ordering of supplies, petty cash and
MetroCard reconciliation and ordering and IT trouble shooting. This staff person will
also assist with recruiting, provide new hire orientation and process paperwork which
includes initial benefits and updating as needed. S/he will coordinate event planning
(participant graduation, office meetings, etc.) and will provide back-up reception duties
which include opening and closing the office in a timely manner, answering the phone,
directing inquiries to appropriate parties, package and delivery receipt and mail


  • Must demonstrate keen attention to detail and excellent time management skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree and prior administrative experience preferred, as well as knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel

  • Must have ability to multi-task

  • Ability to work in a team environment and must be able to maintain a friendly and welcoming demeanor

  • Commitment to young people and comfort in working in an ATI

  • Bilingual in spoken Spanish desirable


$42k+, doe experience. Excellent benefits, including health, dental, vision, and 401k benefits package.
