In partnership with the NYC Department of Probation, and other agencies involved with the juvenile justice system, Esperanza is exploring ways to safely reduce the reliance on out-of-home placement for youth who are adjudicated delinquent in the family court system. Esperanza began as a demonstration project of the Vera Institute of Justice.
